Need a library card?

We've got you covered. Whether need to renew or sign up for the first time, library cards are FREE to residents of Rocky Mountain House and Clearwater County! Visit our membership page to find out more & sign up online.

eResources

Ebooks, eAudios, comics, magazines, papers, and homework help are all available with your library card. Visit our eLibrary page to find out everything we have to offer without even coming through our doors!

Curbside Printing, Fax, & Scanning

Here's what you need to know!

Fax & Scanning

  1. Call or message us to schedule an appointment.
  2. When you arrive at the library for your appointment, give us a call or knock on the front door.
  3. Place your items for faxing or scanning in the bin by the front door. Please make sure you follow AHS physical distancing guidelines as staff retrieve your documents.
  4. We’ll send your items to the requested number/ email address (this may take a few minutes).
  5. We’ll return your documents to the bin by the front door for you to retrieve.
  6. Payment for fax service ($1.00 per page) can be placed in the bin. We can only accept cash or cheque payments at this time.

Printing

  1. Email the files you would like printed to circ.armh@prl.ab.ca
  2. Call or message us to schedule an appointment.
  3. Once we’ve confirmed that your files have arrived and are ready to print, we’ll schedule a pick-up time with you.
  4. When you arrive at the library for your appointment, give us a call or knock on the front door.
  5. We’ll bring your documents to the bin by the front door for you to retrieve.
  6. Payment for prints ($0.25/ page for black and white, $1.00/ page for colour) can be placed in the bin. We can only accept cash or cheque payments at this time.
Programs

In-person programs are suspended, but we have online programs and take home craft kits available. See the Events page for more details.

How do I get my books?

Requests, Holds, and Physical Materials

We have a wide variety of books, DVDs, audiobooks and even video games available to you! You can call, email, or direct message via our social media pages with your requests and we'll do our best to find specific titles or appropriate items for you off our shelves. Once we have found your items, we’ll send you an email notification or give you a call, and you can schedule a time to pick them up!

Here's how to let us know what you need!

  1. Visit our website's homepage.
  2. Search for the item you wish to borrow.
  3. When you find an item, you can choose Place Request.
  4. We will contact you when your item is available. You can pick it up via curbside (see below).
  5. You can also just give us a call or send a message and we’ll arrange to get items to you.

Curbside Pickup

If you'd prefer not to come into the library you can still borrow items with Curbside Pickup.

  1. Once you receive a notification that your items are ready for pickup, call 403-845-2042 to schedule an appointment.
  2. When you arrive at the library, give us a call or knock on the front door.
  3. We’ll bring out your checked out materials and place them in the bin outside. Please make sure you follow AHS physical distancing guidelines and wait to collect your items until after staff have returned inside.
  4. Pick up your items from the bin, and enjoy!

Returns

We are still accepting materials in our outside book drop, including CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Ray. Please note that returned items are held in quarantine for 3 days before staff check them in. They will continue to appear on your library card during this time, but no late fees will accrue.
